Leader Sheep Museum

At Svalbarð, Þistilfjörður you find the Leader Sheep Museum/Study Center or Fræðasetur um Forystufé. This special breed, the Leader Sheep is very unique and can only be found in Iceland. They are considered to be highly intelligent and serve as leaders of the herd. Also they have been known to lead their herd through extreme weather conditions such as blizzards and fog.
