Sauðaneshús - Museum

Sauðanes is about 7 km north from Þórshöfn. At Sauðanes farm there is an ancient church which was first built sometime around the 11th century. The old priest residence has been converted into a museum which was formally opened the year 2003. The house itself was built in 1879-1881. In the museum there are a lot of historical items from Langanes such as tools and much more. After a tour around the museum you can sit down at the little cafe and have waffles, coffee and hot cocoa.
